What’s on your travel bucket list for 2021? This is your year to visit the United States. There is so much that America can be proud of. If you research about USA and the rest of North America, you can discover many travel destinations. I’ve been in contact with several influencers and travel experts to find the best destinations in the United States. This selection includes historic cities and mountain getaways, as well as some newer destinations you may not have heard of but should visit next year.

Guanajuato, Mexico

Mexico Located in central Mexico, Guanajuato offers a pleasant climate, charming cities, artistic nuances, and a relaxed atmosphere. Guanajuato, the state capital (pictured above), has been an up-and-coming tourist destination since it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. Guanajuato is known for its charming narrow streets, colonial architecture, and charming alleyways. You should also visit the rest of the state. It deserves a trip and a place in every North American travel guide. Adventurers have plenty of opportunities for biking and hiking in this arid but diverse landscape.

Wisconsin, USA

Wisconsin is located in the northern United States, bordered by Lake Superior and Lake Michigan. Wisconsin is the number one state in the Midwest for fun, family, uniqueness, and convenience. Wisconsin’s landscape is diverse and beautiful. There are mountains, canyons, valleys, forests, and lakes. There are also miles of sandy beaches and rugged hills. Canoe, snowmobile, and cabin rentals are available. Explore the miles of trails by ATV or on foot.

Wisconsin Dells, known for its unique and beautiful sandstone formations, is now a water park mecca with five large indoor water parks. This makes it one of the most family-friendly destinations in North America. Wisconsin has some of the most beautiful state and national parks in the United States. The 66 parks cover an area of more than 60,570 acres. Some are nationally renowned, such as Devil’s Lake, with its 500-foot quartzite boulders spanning a 360-acre lake. Madison and Milwaukee have vibrant music and art scenes.

Haida Gawii, Canada

A hidden gem on the west coast is the enchanting Haida Islands. This destination has a rich cultural history dating back to the last ice age. There are 150 islands with pristine rainforests and rugged coastlines to discover. Haida Gwaii offers true wilderness experiences with close encounters with predators in the sky and interactions with them on land.

There is also an opportunity to experience friendly hospitality and discover a fascinating culture. The misty purple and blue clouds that cover the hills, the moss carpets that grow on the trees, and the stories of mythical creatures – on Haida Gwaii you’ll find the fairies of your childhood stories.

Shawnee National Forrest

Trees A land of hills and valleys, filled with amazing rock formations with interesting names. There are many opportunities for outdoor adventures such as zip-lining, rappelling, and rock climbing. Horseback riding, hiking, and canoeing are also available. You can canoe in the Cache River wetlands, which are designated as Wetlands of International Importance. This is a great place to find peace if you’re looking for a relaxing vacation.

Popular accommodations include cabins with backyard hot tubs. You’ll also find quaint stores and orchards where you can pick your own produce. There are 11 unique wineries on the Shawnee Wine Trail, which winds through the forest, some of which offer live entertainment on weekends. You can also head to the rivers for fun at casinos like Metropolis and Cape Girardeau.
